Salt and Light

I realized I wasn't done with sight or pain. When we first see, the light  passes through the cornea, which bends it, and through the pupil, which is regulated by the iris., which decides how much light gets in,  Next the lens  change shape (accommodation) to focus light correctly onto the retina Then conversion takes place, where photoreceptor cells in the retina (rods which see black and white and cones which see color) convert light into electrical signals . Then the information is transmitted via the optic nerve to the brain, the brain then flips and interprets the image,  Lets look at this spiritually. Jesus is the light. Our hearts and minds control how much the light gets in to nourish our spirits. When our hearts have been circumcised we perceive more of the truth about God and ourselves.    The other day our pastor emeritus preached on Jon 16:1-14 I realized that in my attempts to grow my relationship with God that I had become unbalanced. God exists as a trinity and though all three parts are God each has it own unique role.  God the Father is the creator the Alpha and the Omega the beginning and the End. He is,,,,, Creator and Sustainer: As the source of all life, He created the universe through the Son and by the power of the Spirit. Initiator of Salvation: He planned, purposed, and sent Jesus Christ into the world to redeem humanity. Sovereign Ruler: He is the ultimate authority, with all things existing from, through, and to Him. Loving Parent: He is portrayed as a caring, affectionate father who adopts believers as his children, providing for, protecting, and disciplining them.
